Pours amber with a hint of haze. Dense head. Fruity aroma with floral hops, pineapple and pine needles. Fruity taste with notes of pine needles, pine resin and mango. A pleasant bitterness lingers in the mouth.

Can. Rich copper pour with a medium white head that has fair retention. The aroma is strong with murky citrus, oranges mostly, guava and papaya. The taste is also rich with citrus though nearly as robust as the nose foreshadowing. I get plenty of mixed citrus, caramel, two row and some pepper. The palate is a bit on the lighter side but appropriate for the style. Overall: very nice APA--will have to seek out more of bootstraps beers. This is a bit of a throwback beer, and a good one. Paired superbly well with some Danish North Sea Cheese (Vesterhavsost). In fact I am a bit shocked how well these two worked together, the cheese improved the beer taste and the beer improved the cheese (as if that was even possible).

Best by April 9th.

It pours a clear 24k gold with over a finger of foam.

Big notes of grapefruit citrus in the smell. Slightly grassy with some toasted malt.

The taste continues with the grapefruit citrus dominance. The malt is toasted but it's a minor player. Pretty bitter for an APA. It almost has a dry hopped character.

Good mouthfeel, good drinkability.

A very assertive hoppy American Pale Ale indeed and I am happy with it.
