Beers of the World country 145: Liechtenstein 🇱🇮
"The beer is clear golden in colour with a nice foamy head. Easily drinkable with a crisp taste of lager. Some sweetness towards the finish and then a very small bitterness as is finishes. This also marks 48 out of 49 countries tasted in Europe. Still waiting for the Pope to send me one of his homebrews 😛" - beersoftheworldproject.wordpress.com

Bottled@HBF2015. Yellow colour with a small white head. Aroma is grains, some bready malts, mild herbs, grass and earthiness. Flavour is quite similar, and also quite watery. Slightly better than bulk lagers, but still watery and with some slight metallic notes to it.

Bouteille: Golden, nearly clear, quickly collapsing loose White head; sweetish-grainy nose, hops hardly detectable, but traces of glue; nearly moderate sweet flavour, bitterness barely detectable, light to medium bodied; very light lemony traces in the thin sweet-bitter grainy finish. Not really convincing.....

Bottle, 4.8%. Faint flowery hop aroma. Clear sparkling yellow colour. OK white head. The flavour is quite malty with the same flowery hop note as the aroma. Low bitterness.

Bottle. Pours clearpale golden with airy white head. Clear aroma of malt and yeast, with notes of hops. Bitter flavour of hops and metal, with notes of malt and yeast. Bitter and sligtly estery aftertaste. A drinkable Premium Lager but nothing to write home about as such.

(bottle, 33cl) Clear, pale golden colour with a blond and short foamy head. Slightly doughy and delicately grainy pale malty aroma with a shy flowery hoppy background. Moderately sweet and discreetly bitter flavour, light to medium bodied with an almost crisp mouthfeel. Slightly doughy malt-character with a mildly herbal and subtle floral hoppy touch; sweet-bitter pale malty and slightly herbal finish. Better than expected; clean, easy-going but rather boring. 02.VI.14

Bottle, 500 ml from Liechtenstein. Pours clear yellow with white head. Malty aroma with some hops. Sweet flavor with some bitterness. Refreshing. Was very surprised with this one, not bad at all.

Appearance: Golden color with a thin white layer on top.
Aroma: Mild malty and light fruity.
Palate: Medium light body. Moderate sweet and a mild bitterness. Average carbonation.
Taste: Slightly caramel malty and mild hoppy.
Overall impression: It was not better than expected. Easy drinkable, but not very fresh. Anyway I would still like to go to Lichtenstein and try their beer there.
Personal stats: Bottle from a trade with Visionthing. Enjoyed a lovely afternoon by The River in Oslo, together with Mr Visionthing and Mr Arve_Christian.
