Draught at the brewpub, as a smallish sampler at around 10 cl, on November 23, 2013.As "Jerrys Merry Jerry".Clear dark brown color, tan head. Sweet, malty, spicy, butterscotch scent. Malty, brainy, bitter taste. Grainy aftertaste. Medium thin mouthfeel, a bit acidic and yeasty character. Also hints of phenoles aftertaste. Medium low bitterness.A sample glass of this was quite enough for me, not something I’d like a full glass of unless the batch is different at other times.

Growler 200 cl. Courtesy of yngwie. Pours a cloudy amber with a small off-white head. Discreetly fruity nose. Medium body, low carbonation, odd biscuity accents and some bland dark fruits and spices. Hardly any bitterness. Bland and poor. 261111

On tap at the brewpub. (As Merry Jerry.) It pours a hazy brown body and a finger thick, creamy, off-white head. The aroma is quite buttery, with caramel and a touch of malts and coffee. Smooth on the palate, full-bodied and maybe a bit heavy on the carbonation. The flavor has a pleasant hoppy bitterness that masks the butter quite well. Caramel and dark roasted malts too. Caramel and bitterness in the end. Except for the heavy butterscotch aroma it’s a pleasant and drinkable beer, but definitely not worth driving miles to get, luckily the butter diminishes after a while. 101216
