Meulemans’, Jamaica Vermont bottle: Pours black with a beige head. Aroma is a lot of wood, vanilla, bourbon, chocolate, and some fruity notes. Taste is pretty barrel-aged. This is a quintessential sipper even though it is not particularly alcoholic. Plenty of complexity. Well crafted. I would be interested in sampling more beers from this brewer.

Pours black into an English pint. Mocha head crackles and recedes leaving no lacing. Oak, vanilla and Beam aromas. Thin with light caramel and Jim Beam front to back.

Bottle thanks to a generous trader. Pours black with a dark brown head that dissipates to the edges. Flavor has dark grains with a bit of roast with backing sweet bourbon. Flavor starts with roasted malts and a hint of salty meat backed by sweet bourbon.
