At the brewery: Pours a brown with a beige head. Aroma is toffee, burnt malts, hints of hops. Taste is earthier, maltier and heaver than you would get from your average English ESB, probably more so than most American ESBs too. Rich and creamy. Pretty nice.

Draft at the brewpub. Pours hazy amber-brown with a thick, creamy tan head. Pretty tasty, with some toasted bread, light toffee, hints of coffee and dried fruits. Light to medium bodied with average carbonation. More toasted malts in the finish with accents of earthy coffee. Good.
