Bottle from a shop in Halle, called Stolzer Hahn. Crystal clear bright yellow color small white head. Papery pepper aroma Taste has more paper and some pepper as well. Is Stolzer Hahn the same as the Premium Pils? Not sure but pretty close.

Heller herber, etwas trockener Antrunk. Geringe Intensität, die Herbe bleibt konstant, leicht steigende helle Würzigkeit. Wässrig bitterer Nachhall. Ok aber langweilig. 10/8/8/6/7/8

Bottle (courtesy of McTapps!): Golden, big and stable white creamy head; moderate bitter-sweet grainy and grassy nose with a tinge of sourdough; dryish, but not too dry, bitter-sweet flavour, light to medium bodied; short dry bitter-grainy finish. Drinkable, nothing else...

18th Jan 2014 and I find myself in the Saxony-Anhalt presentation area of Berlin’s International Green Week. I spied a bar from Landsberg and venture over, Pilsner and a Swartz beer available on tap: I order one of each and find a resting place. My 0.3 Litre Premium Pilsner came a golden bodied, clear and clean, bright beer with a fast fading snowy white crown. The aroma was also typical of German Pilsners, there was very little of anything in the nose. Gets my usual 3 score for a non smelling Pilsner / lager. The taste leaned towards a maltiness but the hops stopped any sweetness from taking over the flavouring: this a dry, refreshing beer with a bitter finish: very little actual taste. Nothing wrong with this beer, it just seemed a normal, bog standard, ordinary sort of brew with no features to pick up on, good or bad.
