Bottle 75 cl. Courtesy of fonefan. Pours a cloudy reddish brown with a tiny beige head. Odd roasty aroma, some dark dried fruits. Medium body, some roast, ashes, overripe dark fruit and a tart edge. Ends dry. Very very flawed but somehow drinkable. 251111

Bottle, 75cl. A dark brown beer topped by a finger-thick beige head. Roasted aroma with dried fruits and some cellar and wet cabbage. Dry, medium bodied and a bit low on carbonation, with flavors of coffee, dried fruits and yeast. Lightly unpleasant, with some wet cabbage and garbage. Certainly not a favorite of mine this brewery. Well, at least not awful, but I don’t think I could drink a bottle on my own. 111125

On tap, 2009 version: Black with just a hint of deep red shining through, thick creamy beige head, perfect looks. Aroma of hard roasted malts, liquorice, light sweet. Flavour is roasted malts, liquorice, coffee, dry coffee bitter finish. Light bodied, but full of flavour, exemplary of the style imo. 6 5 6 3 14 75cl Bottle, 2008 version, different yeast strain: Deep dark brown to black colour, light beige head.
