330 ml bottle. Dep golden body with a medium sized off-white head. Aroma of caramel malt and spices, totally dominated by star anise. Flavor is sweet malty, liquorices not much bitterness and actually not so much more of anything else. Medium body and a sweet aftertaste with more liquorices. This beer is just too much liquorices for my taste.

Bottle. An almost clear one, dark golden to light amber in color and with a small, dense, off-white head. Spiced nose with ginger and cardamom, sugary maltyness and fruityness too. Spiced flavor too, a bit too spiced for my likings, or is it only the choice of spices, I don’t know. Sweet maltyness and a fruity touch too. Some toffee. Medium to full body, soft on the palate. Spiced and malty sweet finish. Well, not bad, just not my style. 111126
