Doppelbock is a stronger or ‘double’ version of the bock style, doppelbocks are strong, malty lagers with deep russet hues and crimson highlights. Munich malts rich in melanoidins lend the beer rich, toasted bread flavors.

This doppelbock is the ideal beer to warm you during the cold winter months. So come grab a stein and pull up a seat at our new fire pit and be one of the first to try this new, complex lager.

Canned. Fluffy ruby brown pour. Malt, caramel, rye bread toast. Ok example of the style.

Poured a copper brown color with a small tan head. Aroma was light caramel. Dark, dried fruits, caramel. Bready, with some pleasant sweetness. Really nice stuff.

Half pint at the brewery, pours a murky amber with a wisp of off white head. Nose has malt, prunes, raisins, some spice. Nice and not over done. Flavor has some soapy astringency, a little bit which must be the alcohol, otherwise malt and dried fruits, fruit cake. Finishes mostly full bodied. Very tight and restrained.

Roast and some coffee and caramel. Nutty like celebrity news cycles. Brown pour with ok head. Bittwrsweet end. Good for style and not overly sweet. Tap at Whole Foods.
