Währing is an exploration of what we imagine lager production to have been when our farm was established, 1832. Around that time, an Austrian brewer is credited with offering the first lagerbier in a new style named after the place he called home, Vienna.
Währing was brewed November 2021 and rested first in oak barrels and then bottles for the remainder of the winter. It’s been patiently bottle conditioning and lagering for half a year since.

Can. Poured a clear orange color with a medium sized white head. Aroma was light orange, with some yeasty notes, grain. Flavor was some yeasty bubblegum, light vanilla, not a lot of woody oak or anything.

Something like corn. Raw grained. Pours golden with ok head and lacing. Some light barrel. Crisp enough.

750ml bottle gushes when it opens. Then pours a murky orange with some frothy white head. Smells like Orval and definitely not like a Vienna lager. It's infected. Orange peel and hand soap. Flavors same with some soggy grist. Finishes off dry, a little funky. 6 3 6 4 12
