Our lightest beer, made from 100% malted barley. This blonde lager is what sailors really swam to shore for; it’s light, with very little bitterness and a slight malt finish.

Location: 12 oz can from Norm's, 3/25/12

Aroma: The nose is fairly yeasty, with hay, grass, grains, and some light lemon/citrus
Appearance: It pours a clear yellow-gold with a small white head and light lacing on the glass
Flavor: Tastes fairly full, with a medium malty sweetness, citrus flavors, and a light-mid hop bitterness
Palate: The body is medium-plus, with a thick (for the style) a slightly sticky mouthfeel, and a long duration
Overall Impression: This one actually surprised me. The nose leads you to believe that you are getting a very light lager, but somehow they managed to pack a lot more flavor and body into this one then I was expecting. I'm not a big fan of this blonde lagers generally, but this one exceeded my expectations.

35,5 cl can @ Naamat, canned on 10.05.2011
Aroma is weird and stale with butter, grain, hay and hints of citrus. Flavour has hops, citrus, some sticky malt and hints of grain. Somewhat too sticky and stale, maybe this has lost its shape on the long journey here.

12 ounce can from Vintage Cellar, Blacksburg, VA. Pours a clear golden with a medium sized fizzy white head that quickly fades. Aroma of bread, nutty notes, grassy hops and a faint bit of honey. The taste is grain, nutty notes, sweet finish and a faint bit of grass. Medium bodied. Solid.

355 ml can, Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger. ABV is 5.1%. Golden colour, slightly hazy, large and lasting white head. Fairly strong aroma of grassy hops, some grain too. The flavour is "clean" and has a decent presence of pilsener malts and a hint of citrus, but the hops are too moderate.

Can at Tilt, Oslo. Pours golden with a white head. Aroma of sweet malt and caramel. Malty taste without much bitterness. Not bad, but far from exciting regarding the taste. The most exiciting about this beer is definitely it’s origin. Pretty light and easy to drink, nice to know that they brew decent beer in the middle of the Pacific Ocean too...

Rice and tapioca nose, subtle pineapple notes. Crystal clear amber, medium white head. Flavor is grassy rice with light peanut hulls toward the end. light and subtle as it should be, nuanced.

Finally got to VA. 12oz can. Poured a clear light golden color with a small white head. Aroma was a bit grainy, but pretty much a standard premium lager. Flavor was about the same - gain and malts. Flavor was better than expected - must be the water.
