Pint can thanks to hershiser2! 2/24/2021. Hazy orange, large white head, good retention. Aroma of tangerine, mango, vanilla, pale malt. Taste is pineapple, mango, tangerine, orange, pale malt. Medium bodied, juicy. Seems a tad bit aged. Decent.
Peachy gold pour. Thin foam. Flavor of citrus, melon, and earthy grass. Wheat and melon palate. Easy carbonation

Crystal clear golden coloured body with a very large, three to four centimetre tall tan and off-white head that has large bubbles, but stays afloat nicely. Aroma of grass, hay, light herbs, a touch of grapes and a very small amount of citrus. Medium-bodied; Relatively rich and syrupy sweetness up front from mangoes, honey, resin and a little grassiness soon behind, but relatively simplistic in terms of the hops and overall character of this one, that does show some alcohol bite and astringency towards the end. Aftertaste is crisp, relatively strong in terms of sugars and malts, with only a tiny bit of the hops showing through, and those are focused on the dry and grassy side, although some light floral notes are around as well. Overall, good enough, but this is far from a 'double IPA' - this if anything is a plain [East Coast] IPA with more sugars and less bitterness than usual. Not worth grabbing, especially considering all the options in either of the styles [real or labelled], but at least it's not a bad beer! I sampled this sixteen ounce, pint-sized can, purchased from Costco in Arlington (Pentagon City), Virginia on 22-May-2020 for US$2,69 sampled at my house here in Washington on 27-May-2020.
