Levity was named by our brewers to reflect the lightness of color in this highly drinkable golden amber ale. Extremely refreshing, this is a mild, crisp, hoppy pleasure to consume.

[10/16/13] Draught at Brasserie 4:20 in Rome. Amber-colored with a white head. Aroma of malt, a bit of caramel, some floral hops and light fruitiness. Sweetish malty flavor with a bit of caramel, a bit of yeasty notes, light fruitiness, some floral hops, a bit of graininess and a mildly bitter finish. Medium-bodied.

Hazy amber beer. Small cream coloured head. Semi soft palate, just a tad dry. Light creamy malt blends very well with well behaved and slightly citrus hop. A little more zingy than the 5 Barrel. Seduces with it subtlety and deftness.

355ml bottle. It pour amber (as you would expect) but there is also a red hue in there and it is slightly hazy. A nice head to start with - it mostly disappears but a thin layer of pond froth remains almot throughout. The nose has grain and green herb notes. The taste has more grain and there is a bitter malt finish. The palate has substantial enough structure but it doesn’t refresh as much as I would prefer. Overall, my least favourite Odell beer so far.

Bottle (one month out of date). Orange brown with a fluffy white head. Citrus malt flavour with a dusty ale finish. Fills the mouth with flavour. Tangy feel on the tongue. Finish is bitter and lasting.
