This New American Black Ale, our darkest signature beer, has the malt profile of a Schwarzbier and the floral characteristics of an IPA. Saturated in hops, this intrepid style offers smooth dark toffee flavor without the roasted bitterness.

On tap at Beer Temple. Deep reddish brown to black colour, light beige head. Aroma of roasted malts, coffee and grassy hops. Flavour is thin coffee, toffee, roasted malts, grassy hops, dry and bitter. Very one-dimensional imo. Light bodied. This style doesn’t suit me well.
