Bottle at Raisin-dou in Osaka. As Waldschmidt Jakobi Weissbier. A week before the expiry date. Fruity, rather clean aroma, with slight tartness and light banana. Dark gold with a tall, fine head. Crisp tart edge to a beer with sweet banana and lots of spice, including clove. Nice and full, with rich, thick body. Nice stuff, on the heavy side.

Bottled 500ml. -bought at Orterer Getränkemärkte Altötting, Germany.
Hazy yellow/orange coloured, medium sized creamy white head, yeasty fruity nose. Yeasty, slight herbal and very fruity with notes of spices and vanilla. Pleasant and refreshing weizen.

0.5l bottle courtesy of and shared with ogivlado who got it in Germany (thanks!). Poured a murky brown-ochre body with a medium sized thick white head that went away slowly. Nice sticky malty, lactic, yeasty nose, banana, some bubblegum, chalk and spice. weetish and sticyk. The taste is yeasty too, chewed up bubblegum, grain and banana are there, some glue and light berbal notes. The soft mouthfeel, quite nice, saves it from the notes of bubblegum.

Bottle ( with greetings to Garching !): Golden to deep golden, hazy, slowly collapsing fluffy off-white head; quite heavy fruity aroma: ripe bananas and some lemons with a tinge of toasted malt; medium bodied, soft MF, moderate to solid sweet-sourish flavour; solid, but soft fruity-lemony finish, rounded by a well hidden tartness and wheaty aromas. Very good Weizen.........

on tap in Eschlkam in the Bavarian Forest. Was named Waldschmidt Jakobi Weisbier, presumably brewed by Hacklberg for Penzkofer-Getränke Eschlkam. Waldschmit was a famous citizen of Eschlkam. Pale yellow colour, very cloudy, large head. Malty and fruity flavours, yeasty and slightly hoppy. Very enjoyable and thirst-quenching.
