On nitro draft at the brewpub in Champaign. Pours a clear deep cola with a creamy tan head. Leather aroma. Flavors of chocolate and coffee. Bitter roast finish.

Tap. Pours opaque black with a large creamy tan head that dissipates very slowly and leaves great coating lacing. Very typical presentation for a nitro stout. Aroma is quite roasty, notes of ash, and really smells like some lactose is present as well. Flavor follows, light sweet, medium bitter, roasty. Medium body. Perhaps sweeter than typical for the style; kind of straddling the dry/sweet stout boundary, but its still a nice beer on its own merits. I quite liked this example, not sure why it is getting so bashed here.

on nitro-pours a light brown thick head that laces and black color. Aroma is roasty/cocoa/molasses-dark malt, peat, some earthy hops. Taste is roasty/peat/ashy-dark malt, secondary earthy hops. Towards medium body.
