Location: 12 Oz. Bottle from Gilly's Feb '09
Aroma: Roasted, with caramel, coffee, toffee style flavors.
Appearance: Nice deep brownish red color.
Flavor: Sweet and tasty. Nice finish
Palate: Medium/Full body
Overall Impression: Guessing this is a new offering. Definately interesting, highly drinkable beer, hides the 8% pretty well, you can hardly tell its there.

12 oz bottle. Pours a dark brown color with a nice head to it. Aroma is sweet malts, touch of roast to those malts. Flavor is that of dried fruits, malt, and a tinge of alcohol seeps through - which is understandable considering the 8% it touts. Aside from that, the beer is quite drinkable.

On tap in July! Lucked out and stopped in on the right day while passing through Annapolis. Was reddish brown in color with a small tan head. Aroma of malts and spices, as well as some caramel. Flavor was nice and spicey which masked the 8.6%. Also tasted malts and light sweetness. A very nice dopplebock, might have to make my way back in the winter to have another.
