An extraordinarily refreshing beer. The hint of smokiness comes from Bavarian smoked malt.

20/3/2019. Cask at The Black Jug, Horsham. Now 4.5%. Pours dark amber brown with a lasting creamy off-white head. Aroma of malt, chocolate, toffee, fruit, wood and light smoke. Moderate sweetness, medium bitterness. Medium body, slight oily texture, soft carbonation. Finishes with a little more burnt bitterness. Quite drinkable. From the previous rating I’d suggest this is now a lot better under the new brewery management than it used to be.

Amber coloured without a head. Has a full sweet aroma which is light berries. It’s more neutral in its flavour.
