Bottle 330ml. @ [ Tasting by Fin & Loz ].Clear medium yellow orange colour with a small, fizzy, fair lacing, fully diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, sweet malt, moderate hoppy, orange - citrus, ripped apricot. Flavour is moderate to light light heavy sweet and moderate to heavy bitter with a average to long duration, dried fruit. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20111021]

Bottle at fins ... golden amber ... thin white lacing ... soft peachy fruity hop ... odd sweet but light drying edge hop... dried peel fruits ... just a little wierded out by this one.

Bottle consumed with Gazza and my dad 01.09.11, cheers Gazza for bringing this along Pours copper in colour with a few stray bubbles across the top. Quite thick in the mouth, touch syrupy. Quite a distinctive nose, not sure exactly what it is but I think that I would recall this again in another Sorachi Ace beer, possibly it is fruity but also a little weird, like Josticks, a sort of Hippie IPA if you like. My dad liked this one, but unusually for me, its a Steel City beer that wasn’t totally my thing, there isn’t necessarily anything wrong with it at all, but maybe as Gazza suggest these hops work very well in a dark beer which I totally agree with but for me it didn’t come across as succesful here in an IPA.
