Brewed in Collaboration with Three Floyds Brewing, a unique slant on a spring bock beer. Brewed with Bohemian Floor Malt, Slovenian Hops and a California Common yeast, this beer was our nod to the Great Lakes and their nautical adversary.

Cloudy orange-golden color, small head. Grainy aroma, some honey. Sweetish and malty flavor, some cereals and grains, with ordinary bitterness. As Bock, not bad.

22 fl oz bottle. Pours hazy orange with a small yellow head. Aroma is yeasty and light toasted breadish. Sweet, cornish, toasted malty and yeasty. Wet cardboard too. Biscuity. Sweet and rather yeasty finish. Somewhat bitter to match the sweet malt.

Bottle 65 cl. Courtesy of Masterski. Pours a hazy golden with a small white head. Sweet and clean malty nose. Solid and clean malt base with some pleasant grassy hops that don’t leave much bitterness. Very clean and stright drinking. 180911

Courtesy of kiefdog. Pours deep gold to copper with white head. The aroma is sugary then mildly spicy and little else. The taste is sweet with citrus flavored sweet tart candy then moving into spicy hops and growing floral hoppiness. It ends a bit more spicy hops and spicy yeast than it started and mixing with lingering floral hops and sugary sweetness.

Poured from 22 oz bottle, and tried as a sample at Half Acre. Aroma is of a balanced caramel malt and hops. Pours a vibrant amber with a thin head. Taste wise, there’s the present malt, but I’m also tasting a hint of citrus along with yeast. Pretty good, but I probably wouldn’t buy again as it was rather pricey.
