0,5l bottle from Cora in Forbach. Best before 14/02/16. The beer starts quite neutral. Smooth malty aroma, herbal bitterness with only hints of chestnuts in the aftertaste. Malty-bitter-adsringent body, interesting herbal aroma, dusty-mouldy yeast. The aftertaste is herbal-bitter, only nutty hints. Interesting.

Not sure if I concur with the Spice/herb/vegetable category, tastes like a Belgian ale with a little extra flavoring of chestnuts. Looks and smells like a Belgian (maybe Biere de garde), additional nutty taste. Dry finish, but overall, pretty good.

bottle from Colmar. Cloudy orange yellow, large white head all over the place (gushing). Malty base, shy fruity background with a dry touch, perhaps from the chestnuts? Good one.

Good white head, fed by lively carbonation from metallic-golden beer. Well-water nose, spicy, aroma as from pumpkin. Vegetable - maybe pumpkin - but as to chestnut... Spicy, and CO² giving some acidity. Peppery in the finish. Mineralwater quality, highly carbonated MF. Light. Very light - also on chestnut. Many thanks to Stef!

Bottled. An unclear yellow beer with an off-white head. The aroma has notes of chestnuts, burnt plastic, and a bit of malt. The flavor is sweet with notes of burnt plastic, straw, and malt, leading to a dry finish.
