This sensational new blonde beer is full of citrus character, from the initial aroma through to the clean, sharp and fresh flavour, enhanced with fresh lemon and lime pith. Its fruity palate leads to a satisfying aftertaste (First Gold, Hallertau)

Cask @ Camperdown Place, JDW. Spoons Real Ale Festival autumn 2011. Clear light golden oclour, white head. Nose is massive lemon, toilet detergent. Flavour is upfront full lemony, but dies down fairly quickly, leaving a fresh lemonade sourness and a light maltiness. Another wild TSA experiment gone awry.

Cask at The Crosse Keys, JDW, London. Pours a lightly hazy gold with pretty much no head. Aroma has a LOT of sweet lime. After one sip I’m like, What the fuck? This stuff tastes like Sprite, or Sierra Mist. That isn’t necessarily a bad thing, but still. There’s lots of sugar, zesty lemon and lime, hints of rindy bitterness. Light to medium bodied with fine carbonation. A bit syrupy. Sweet finish, just loads of lime. I like fruit beers probably MORE than the next guy, but this beer is testing my limits.
