Bottled at RBESG. Cloudy very dark brown. Aroma of treacle and metal. Extrenmely sweet and inky. Viscous with a flavour and mouthfeel as an ink and tar milkshake. The massive bofy in combination with, super excessive sweetness, the freajy bitterness and the ridicolous amounts of alcohol makes it really tough to stomach. My tastebuds almost go berserk and ceases to register anything but inky bitterness.

RBESG2008: 12 fl oz bottle. Pours dark brown to black with a lacing tan head. Roasted malt and aroma towards tarish. Solid carbonation. Sweet fruity and hardroasted malt. Solid roasted acidic finish. Smooth and fruity finish with a solid alcohol warmth.

Courtesy of BBB63. Pours dark murky muddy brown with thin dark tan head. The aroma is surprisingly light with roastiness and mild dark fruity esters along with an increasing hotness as the draw continues beyond normal. The taste is aggressive attacking with roasty malts, some dark chocolate, dark fruitiness, red wine tannins and red wine grape fruitiness. The alcohol builds to a near fever pitch upon successive samplings. Very nice for the ABV though.

12 oz 2007 Bottle shared by Odeed; Black with brown edges and a big tan head; nose is chocolate, with light smokiness; flavor of hot alcohol, light soy sauce note, and alcohol for the finish; body is thin, very mediocre impy and I slowly drank 9 of the 12 ounces hoping it might improve!

2007 bottle shared by BBB63. Opaque dark brown body with yeasty haze, thin tan head. Classic super-high ABV aroma, with sharp, nearly cloying sweet malts and alcohol, in addition to roasted malts and chocolate. Extremely sweet body, vinous, with abundant residual sugars and alcohol. Primary characteristics are chocolate and grape, the last especially evident in the tart finish. Boozy and big, but not syrupy. Definitely a sipper. Very different from the Road Rash IS.
