Sample at the taproom. Clear reddish-amber color with a thin off-white head that recedes quickly to an outer ring. Sparse strings of lace. Aroma of malt, fruit and caramel. Light to medium body with flavors of roast malt, caramel and slight hops. The finish is sweet with a malty aftertaste. Decent overall.

Pour is a clean tan with a large white head. Aroma is a nice, bready malt with a little chestnut in the backround. Flavor is more of a dry bready malt with a little roasted nuttiness. A bit thin in the look and mouth feel but this has some flavor and depth to it.

Sampled at GABF 2013. Pours a clear caramel amber with some spitty, white head. Malty nose, orange, yeast, honey. Flavor is malty, honey, yeast, orange, carrot, metal. Clean finish. Not really a Marzen.
