Bottled 17.02.18. Black, dense creamy brown head. Heavy smell of red wine, some roast beneath it. Medium body, with a tad too much carbonation. Tastes pretty tart, red wine, wood. Surprising smokyness. Seems a bit infected, but it's still drinkable.

28-09-19 // draft shared at Mon Petit Cafe Suttgart on Zwanze Day 2019. Black with brown head. Dry minimal sourish malty. Dry dark roasted bitterness. No sweetness at all. Lots of coffee. Minimal tobacco. Yes barrels are well present. Not cognac or redwine in particular. Strong and complex. Challening to drink.

Bottle. Almost black. Roast, vinous notes and vanilla in the aroma. Malty yet dry, thinnish, roasty flavor with strong red wine notes. Cognac in the finish. Lovely, well balanced, complex stout.

Draught at Jernteppet Ølfestival. Shiny naked black surface. Jet black body, dotted spots on the glass. Nicely roasted dark malty aromas joined by a vinous touch. The taste character has got moments of dark chocolate and liquorie, woody and vinous backbone. Smoothly roasted, lingering end. Full bodied. Enjoying last drink on the first day of the festival. (Hammerfest 16.08.2019).
