Appearance: Cloudy deep amber to bronze colour, moderate off-white frothy head of medium retention. Aroma: Rich malts, dried figs and dates, white raisins, esters, Sherry, honey. Distant oak hints. Taste: Medium sweet and light to medium bitter. Pretty pure. Rich malts, dried figs and dates, white raisins, esters, Sherry, honey. Delicate oak barrel. Not much whisky. Good hops. Hoppy ending. Mouth feel: Full body, soft to average carbonation. Summary: Comples. Dense. Delicious. A highest class barley wine.

Bottle 33 cl. Reddish-amber or bronze colour, thin and yellowish foam. Aroma: sweet, sweet fortified wine like white port and a little whisky (maybe Chivas), candied orange and other fruits, marmalade, light dried fruits, raisins and malt molasses. Taste: sweetish, malt wine and molasses, flavoured with Scotch whisky, warming, marmalade, candied fruits and dried fruits, alcohol, candy canes, white port and raisins (also light), oak, strong hop bitterness, candied grapefruit, good one.
