Reviewed from notes.
The appearance was a fairly dark copper to amber sort of color with a finger’s worth of white foamy head that fell off at a decent pace. Light rings of lace.
The aroma had some caramel/toffee malt up front with some bitter piney hops and grapefruit zestiness pummeling some toast and nutty tones.
The flavor took the malts and hops and added in some butterscotch. Quick malty aftertaste and rubs the finish with a semi-abrasive acceptable sort of alcohol level.
The feel was about medium bodied with a good sipping quality. One can notice the alcohol level in this one. Good carbonation.
Overall, worthy American strong ale to have again.

Another from Skyview’s growler. Good hop and malt flavor, with very intense hop flavors. Some grapefruit, pine, and fruit. Thick and heavy on the palate. This is an exceptionally full bodied and full flavored apa.
