Poured from a 510 ml bottle dated August 25, 2021. Aroma is fruity and malty. Nice cherry pie notes with notes of candied cherries, cassis, berries and apricots. Hints of lemon. Medium light notes of caramel and toasted bread. Light alcohol and oak notes. Pours a fairly clear, dark copper color with auburn hues and a small, moderately thick, tan head that recedes quickly to the edges where it lingers for a bit. No lacing and small legs. Flavor is slightly sweet with a light acidity and medium light malt notes with toasted bread, caramel and some crackers. Medium low bitterness and light alcohol notes. Moderately fruity with notes with cherries, cassis, raisins, and berries. Faint oak notes. Mouthfeel is medium bodied with medium carbonation. Low astringency and low alcohol warmth. Overall, a solid wild ale from Russian River (no surprise there). Nice fruity notes with balanced malt profile and just a touch of acidity.
