Poured from a can dated August 8, 2023. Aroma is hop forward and fruity with lots of orange, tangerine, tropical citrus and lighter notes of passion fruit, stone fruit and hints of gooseberry. Light cracker malt notes and hints of alcohol. Pours a fairly clear, yellowish gold color with a medium large, moderately thick, fluffy, white head that recedes steadily to a small film that lingers in clumps on the edges. Light lacing and faint legs. Flavor is slightly sweet with light grain and cracker malt notes. Medium light bitterness and light alcohol notes. Moderately strong notes of orange and tropical citrus. Lighter notes of gooseberry, passion fruit and stone fruit. Mouthfeel is medium light bodied with medium carbonation. Low astringency and low alcohol warmth. Overall, a solid hoppy lager. This has a lot more IPA characteristic than that of a lager, with a bit of a maltier and less crisp mouthfeel than I would have expected. Really nice hop aroma and flavor. Balanced bitterness and well hidden alcohol notes.
