Bottle thanks to Chow. Pours a dark amber with no head. The aroma is leather and dark fruit. Similar flavors to nose, sweet, boozy, very good.

Poured from a 500 ml bottle. Aroma is malt forward with lots of dark caramel, toffee, and toasted rye bread. Lighter notes of burnt sugar, graham cracker, treacle, chocolate and hints of roast. Light notes of raisin, prunes and figs. Medium light bourbon and alcohol notes with hints of oak. Pours dark brown with lighter brown hues on the edges and a small, moderately thick, dark tan head that recedes quickly to the edges where it lingers for a bit before it disappears. Light lacing and long legs. Flavor is somewhat sweet with lots of dark caramel, toffee, and toasted rye bread. Quite a bit of burnt sugar and graham cracker with faint notes of chocolate, treacle and roast. Medium bitterness and medium light alcohol notes. Light notes of raisin, fig and dates. Medium light bourbon notes and faint oak notes. Mouthfeel is full bodied with medium carbonation. Low astringency and medium low alcohol warmth. Overall, another really solid barleywine from Wondrous. Great malt character in the aroma and flavor. Balanced sweetness and complimentary barrel notes. Alcohol is well hidden.
