2020 bottle purchased at the Brewery. Thanks to Gary for bringing over and sharing. Aroma is overt coffee and roast. As it warmed, sweetness from the maple came out in slight amounts. Pours black with dark tan head. Flavor is strong coffee and roast. Sweetness from the maple more pronounced on the flavor than the aroma. Mouthfeel is rounded well. I didn't notice the bacon on this. Nice beer all around, although the roast and coffee overpower it more than the other eclipse beers.

Poured from a 500 ml bottle. Aroma is rather coffee forward with moderately strong chocolate malt notes with some lighter roast, caramel, toffee and honey notes. Medium light maple and bourbon notes with faint oak and smokey bacon notes. Light alcohol. Pours jet black with a medium sized, thick, mocha head that recedes steadily to the edges where it lingers for a bit before disappearing. Light lacing and fairly long legs. Flavor is fairly sweet with tons of chocolate malt, roast and lighter toffee, dark caramel and honey notes. Hints of ash and leather. Moderate bitterness and light alcohol notes. Moderately strong coffee and maple notes with lighter bourbon and faint oak and smokey bacon notes. Mouthfeel is full bodied with medium carbonation. Low astringency and medium low alcohol warmth. Overall, a solid variant. The maple and coffee notes come through very strong while the bacon is in the background (thankfully). Seems a bit sweeter than the base variants.
