Poured from a 16 oz can dated January 12, 2021. Aroma is fairly hop forward with orange, tangerine, grapefruit and light pine, resin notes. Medium light cracker malt notes and hints of caramel. Faint alcohol notes. Pours a fairly clear, brilliant gold with a medium large, thick, pillowy, white head that recedes slowly to a small film that lingers. Medium lacing and small legs. Flavor is slightly sweet with medium cracker malt notes and light caramel. Fairly strong bitterness and moderate hop notes. Light alcohol notes. Moderate hop notes with grapefruit, orange, pith, and medium light pine notes. A bit soapy. Mouthfeel is medium bodied with medium carbonation. Low astringency and low alcohol warmth. Overall, a solid West Coast style IPA and a good representation of citra hops. This isn't the best batch of citra, but it's still a very solid beer.

From can to pint glass. After all these years, I still feel like I miss the plot on Citra. My palate just gets some weird funk that starts to border on butyric for me. I know it is me, and I wish I experience Citra the way other people do. I eliminate it as a brewing option b/c of this....which sucks.
