Very dark brown, good tan head. Nutty, a bit fruity nose. Soft mouthfeel, good malty background with late bitterness. Sweet nutty-toffee aftertaste. Nice "mild" or ESB. (7/4/7/3/14 3.5) Cask@Beer Hunters. Dark ruby brown color, good creamy brown head. Typical English woody-nutty aroma. Toffeish, soft palate then very nice hoppy bitter finish. Solid malty backbone. Excellent real ale. (6/4/7/4/14 3.5)

Cask at the Dick Whittington Pub, Gloucester, 02-09-06. Very dark brown beer with creamy head. Good beer that is at once very easy drinking, smooth and had some lovely restrained cocoa flavours sitting in there, unfortunatley I wolfed this down a bit rapid as I wanted another one elsewhere before we went off to the Rugby, but it was very nice.

On tap at The Pommelers Rest (Weatherspoon) , Tower Bridge Road. 1.79 pounds! Deep reddish brown with a small off-white head. Light malty aroma. Good nutty malt not cloying, but very light bodied. Good bitter note in finish. Interesting!
