A very brown best bitter, with dry malt tones, the kind of best bitter that’s hard to find these days due to the propensity for UK breweries to produce Brewers Gold/Hophead/JHB clones. Some dry malt/golden syrup/malt loaf, but not heavy either. A best bitter.

Cask gravity at Planet Thanet BF 2007. Quite malty, nice British hops. Decent bitter, some biscuit. Standard bitter. 3/5 Re-rate Cask handpull at Market Porter, London. A very brown best bitter, with dry malt tones, the kinda best bitter that’s hard to find these days due to the propensity for UK breweries to produce Brewers Gold/Hophead/JHB clones. Some dry mlat/golden syrup/malt loaf, but not heavy either. A best bitter.

Cask at the Duke of Wellington, Wareham, Dorset 21-06-06. Mid brown in colour, nicely bitter and with a lkingering sweetness, very pleasant.

Standard English ale appearance with a hopped and caramel nose, and a heavily hopped flavour. Good hopped ale/bitter.

Sampled cask conditioned. Pale nut brown with a fairly rich head for being a cask ale. It is dry, nutty, clean and rather malty with a bitter finish. This is a really well made traditional bitter.
