Matte black, hazy, frothy, stemless tulip pour at the source on a crispy late afternoon. Dank, floral nose with some faint citrus pith. Taste is citra grapefruit pith & ugly cigarette ash. Sooty charred toast, very astringent & lingering bitter bite. Burnt peanut off flavor. Aspirin dies some as it warms. Off-dry, medium high acid, a bit of slickness on the follow. Expected better.

On tap at the brewery. Pours a dark brown with medium beige head that lasts. The aroma is roast and cocoa. Medium body, roasted malt, cocoa, boozy, dry finish, very good.
