12 oz. can from H.E.B. Plus, Boerne, TX. Pours a super dark brown color with root beer colored highlights and a thick beige head with excellent retention. Decent lacing. Roasted dark malt aroma. Really good roasted dark malt flavor too. Almost charred. Very stout-like overall, except for the ligher body. Very smooth and clean too. Medium body. Medium carbonation. Not bitter. Great beer.

On tap at the brewery. Pours a dark brown with small beige head that lasts. The aroma is toasted malt and licorice. Slick body, licorice, cocoa, cracker, toasted malt, dry finish, good.
