Tasting at Matt’s
Hazy light amber color, bright copper hue. Nice, robust IIPA with moderate sweetness, good malt, and very good resiny hops, piney, a bit citrusy; a suspicion of sourness though.
Very good.

330mL bottle, pours a hazy golden orange with a small beige head. Aroma brings out citrus and floral hops, with a slight spiciness, and dry biscuity malt. Flavour is pretty timid for a 10%, 100 IBU IIPA, with faded citrus, spicy and floral hops, and a dry bready malt backing. Clean enough, with a thin maltiness that allows the hops to breathe more so. Solid, but not overly impressive.

31st August 2011
Cloudy amber beer, small cream coloured head. Smooth silky palate. Rich beer! Nice caramel malt base. Rich deep hops! Slightly briney like a big barleywine but with sweetish peach and mango. Finishes with more caramel malt and a drop of aniseed. Very nice.

Bottle 33 cl. Courtesy of bluebetty. Pours a hazy deep golden with a small, off-white head. Odd hop aroma, I think Nelson Sauvin but apparently it’s other NZ hops. Medium body, sweet fruity and caramellish, somewhat soapy hops with a slight tartness. Bitter finish. A very strange creation. 120412
