Ghost Ship is a ghostly pale ale which takes its inspiration from Adnams 600-year-old haunted pub, The Bell. Brewed with a selection of malts - Pale Ale, Rye Crystal and Cara. We use Citra, and a blend of other American hop varieties to create some great citrus flavours.

Cask, at the Wharf. Dark golden in the glass, close to clear, with a thin, bubbly off-white head. Perfumed, peachy and citrusy aroma with little malt impact. Quite bitter flavor, citrusy and zesty, with some peach. Medium body and a soft carbonation. Rather dry, with a long bitter and citrusy finish with some light maltyness. Quenching and quaffable. 160622

Pours a clear amber colour with a medium creamy off white head. Sweet fruity aroma, tropical and mandarin. Sweet malt combined with a fruity hop bitterness. A clean crisp finish.

Cask at the Waldringfield Maybush, Suffolk. Pours a pale gold colour with a small white head. Aroma is mildly hoppy, with citrus and floral notes. Lightly sweet accompanied by a light bitterness. Body is quite light, texture slightly oily. Average carbonation. Hoppy bitterness to finish. Decent summer ale.

On tap @Mad For Beer (Rome). Clear golden with a fine white head. Nose is delicate, malt, bread, biscuits, subtle hoppyness (citrus and fruits). Flavour is moderate sweet with a decent bitter end, well balanced as a perfect british session ale. Light body, no carbonation. I could drink it all night without stopping.
