Cask@GBBF2011. Quite much pitch black colour, small head. Aroma is syrup, wood, liquorice, toffee, a bunch of caramel and mild plummy notes. Flavour is liquorice, wood, some syrup, sweet malts, mild smoked wooden notes as well. Rather bitter finish for a stout.

Cask at GBBF 2011. A black coloured pour with a small beige head on top. Roasty, chocolate aroma. Tastes roasty, malty, chocolate, caramel, sweet. Pretty good stuff.

Cask at Ship and Mitre, Liverpool. Not a bad stout but it did not stand out for me. Maybe a wee bit too sweet and not enough complex malt flavours to have a second
