The classic Burton ale from the house of Worthington, discontinued in cask in the late 60’s but resurrected by the Museum Brewing Co. using the original recipe. English Fuggles and Goldings make this beer a genuine old fashioned Burton bitter with a full bodied taste.

Cask. Clear amber with a small white head leaving some lacework. Lightly sweet bubblegum aroma. Light body, low carbonation, a little caramel and overripe fruit with a dry late bitterness. Pleasant and easy going. 070412

12 oz bottle - brewed by Bass. not Coors. Pours light amber with a bubbly white head. Mild floral aroma. Medium body. Flavor is a bit too caramel, and the hop is bitter, but I’m not sure it’s floral. Ok, but the caramel is more than I’d like. Good drink otherwise.

[Cask Stockholm Beer Festival 2003] The aroma is great with notes of bananas and green apples. The color is orange and the head is fine but fast disappearing. The flavor is rather sweet with notes of bananas and dried apples. It ends on an OK bitterness. A very interesting beer.
