Cask at GBBF 2011. An orange coloured pour with a small off white head on top. Pleasing sweet, hoppy aroma. Tastes hoppy, sweet, malty, citrus fruit, slightly bitter. Nice DIPA.

Cask gravity at Gbbf 2011. Cask 9.1% Hazy orange gold with no head. Yellow grapefruit aroma. Hoppy as hell. Yes hops carry on into the mouth and beautifully into the finish. Good bitterness. Hides the alcohol well with just a youch of burn on the end. Yelow and pink grapefruit is pretty good. Its pretty damn good

(10/26/08) Draught at The Ginger Man in New York. Cloudy reddish amber with a small but stable beige head. Aroma of citrusy hops. Sweet flavor at the beginning with some caramelly malt, cookies notes and some honey. Continues bitter and hoppy with some piney notes, some grapefruit and a bit of alcohol. Medium to full-bodied. A nice DIPA.

Tap at Downtown Bar and Grill - hazy gold with foamy, lasting head - herbal, grassy hop aroma, with quite a lot of sweet, sticky malt hanging around - this makes the rather dry, woody character of the beer a surprise - not as malt heavy and cloyingly sweet as many double IPAs become, which is a very good thing (esp. from sixpoint) - the malts are there, of course, but just enough to balance the piney, earthy, dry hop flavor - thick and full, without being heavy - probably the most well-balanced of sixpoint’s offerings to date.
