Cask (backlog). Deep rubyish brown colour with a small brown bubbly head. Aroma is ripe fruits, toffee, mild toasted notes as well as some herbal notes. Flavour is toffee, mild roasted malts, some caramel, mild floral and some syrupy notes as well.

Cask @ GBBF 2011. Pours a reddish brown color with a small off-white head. Has a fruity slightly roasted malty chocoalte aroma. Roasted malty caramel flavor with hints of dark fruit. Has a roasted malty caramel and dark fruit finish.

Cask (handpump) @ GBBF 2011, Great British Beer Festival, Earls Court Exhibition Centre, London, England.Clear dark red brown colour with a small, fizzy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, roasted, chocolate, chalk, dark dried fruit. Flavor is moderate sweet and light to moderate bitter with a average to long duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft to flat. [20110803]

Cask @ GBBF, 2011. Pours ruby dark amber with no head. Butter and berries. A bit of caramel. Medium bodied.

From cask. Pours dark brown to black with a small tan head. Aroma is roasted dark malty and slight breadish. Mild citric, bitter and dark malty. Slight thin into the finish.

Cask at GBBF, Day 4. Pours dark, ruby-brown with a small, off-white head. Fruity nose, hints of dark malts. Light to medium sweet flavor, very faint herbal bitterness, plum, light brown sugar. Light bodied with fine carbonation. Mild sweet finish, some bread and dough, some semi-dark fruits. Good.
