Crisp copper and bronze coloured body with a thin layer of an off-white stays on top, but after a few seconds, a bit of a violet and purple glow are noticeable at the bottom - nice! Aroma of very succinctly - concord grapes and nuts with a light dose of earthy and rustic malts and some caramelised sugar sweetness, with a lot of the grapes here in the nose and some alcohol, too. Light to Medium-bodied; Elegant tart concord grape notes show through everything with a lot of nuttiness here, but on the crisp and light side of things without any real malts here at all - perhaps a touch of rustic graininess, with the tartness really amped up at the end. Aftertaste shows the fairly good balance (as good as it can be) of concord grapes, tart fruits, a light sweetness and the pervasive cashew and peanut flavours that are strong, funky, but somehow work - just enough. Overall, a nice and funky beer for those who like Peanut Butter & Jelly with a very crisp, tart and elegant mouthfeel that somehow works, although is a bit funky for those who like 'pure' sours without the added peanuts. I sampled this twelve ounce bottle, purchased from the Crystal City Wine Shop in Arlington, Virginia on 03-April-2020 for US$3,59 sampled a few blocks away at my house here in Washington on Thanksgiving Day, 25-November-2021 with my family.

On tap at Trail's End. Pours a slightly hazy, yellow color, with a small, white head. The aroma is apricot, tangerines, brown sugar, and lemon juice. Very tart with some fruity sweetness. Light to medium body, with a smooth, lightly acidic palate. This is a bright and fruity sour. I get no peanuts or raspberries, but it's still quite tasty.

Bread crust, peanut nose. Slightly hazy amber, headless. Tart lemon, peanut, bread, strawberry hints. Medium body, soft carbonation. Pretty much nailed the target and it was even rather surprisingly enjoyable.
