Taster at the Carter Payne. Pours an unclear, dark orange color, with a medium, white head. The aroma is toffee, light maraschino, rye, lavender, and black pepper. Not too sweet, with a smooth bitterness. Medium body, with a crisp, clean palate. Nice, simple, and well made.
