Sampled from a can this beer poured a black color with a large fluffy dark tan head that left decent lacing. The aroma was malty, a bit roasty, dusty, woody and chocolaty. The flavor was dry, roasty and dusty with light chocolate and vanilla. Medium length finish. Medium body.

16 oz. can purchased in St. Pete, FL. Pours a nearly black color with a dark tan head and fair retention. No lacing. Dark roasted aroma. As expected (based on the label), a good flavor mix of dark roasted malts, vanilla and chocolate. Slightly sweet, not bitter. The body is a little thin for a stout but it's thick enough. Low carbonation. Very smooth. Worth repeating.

Taster at Tapworks. Pours black, with a medium, bubbly, tan head. The aroma is maple syrup, watery coffee, toffee, and vanilla. Sweet, with a strange bitterness. Light body, with a fluffy, smooth mouthfeel. This is an interesting and very light stout, but not great.

Draught at Torst. Pours black with a light tan head. Aroma of chocolate, some nuts and a little salty. Taste of chocolate, roasted bread and a little caramel.
