Pours brown with a small head.Nose shows nutty and toasty malt, soft chocolate and caramel. Pretty nice start.Flavours are a bit of a let down after that though, with just a little caramel and nutty malt. Pretty plain.Watery body. Could use more carbonation.

Bottle. It’s a clear, amber beer with a small, dense, beige head. It’s coffee-ish, toffee-ish and slightly cellar-ish. The flavor is quite decent, coffee, toffee, some chocolate and a touch of bitterness are present, with some cellar. Semi-dry on the palate, with a smooth carbonation. A decent beer indeed. 110819

Bottle. Slightly hazy amber with slight head. Pleasant subtle aroma - chocolate, vanilla, hint of orange. Medium body, bright carbonation. Interesting flavour with lots going. Rich chocolate and tangy fruit with pleasant spicy hop notes all of which fall off abruptly to a long finish of slight hoppy bitterness and dark chocolate and coffee hints.

Bottle. Amber with a beige head. Modest aroma of toast and feral pasture is not particularly appealing. Tastes rather better with toast, caramel, nuts and spiced chocolate. Dry finish. Didn’t smell that flash but there’s real depth and sophistication in the taste. Promising stuff.
