On tap in a flight at the brewery. Very dark brown color, with a big, foamy, tan head. The nose is vanilla, peanuts, chocolate pudding, toasted oak, a bit of peat and earthiness. Very sweet, with a sharp, smooth bitterness. Very heavy body, a little astringent, and a bit dry. Overall, this is a very interesting, surprisingly hoppy stout, and the barrel treatment enhances it, without overpowering it. Very nice.
