Cask at Rose & Thistle, Frimley Green. Nil aroma. Copper as advertised. The bubbly white head just clings to the inside of the glass. Initially I was surprised how sugary sweet it was. It then gained a bitterness which come to the fore. Underlying sweetness though. Thin bodied. Some slickness. Light carb. Slightly astringent finish. OK - aftertaste leaves a bad taste though...

Tried at the Three stags Bennington. Mahogany colour with a cream coloured creamy head. Sweet malty aroma and taste that has caramel and fruity hints. Light caramel sweet and medium to full body.

Clear amber beer, thin off-white head. Spicy fruit at the top of both the smell and the taste. Light biscuity malt and then some lingering, sour hoppiness. A very serviceable bitter.

Cask pint on 18th Oct 2014 in The Crown, Oxford, sat in the yard actually. Creamy off-white head on top of a clear mahogany/amber body. Aroma of semi-sweet malts with a few fruity hints. The taste was a lot more malty than hoppy with a light sweetness, again complimented by some fruit notes. Suited my sweet tooth nicely.

Half pint, cask at The White Horse, Parson’s Green. Patchy off-white head, decent lacing. Deep, dark amber coloured body. Aroma of dark caramel, mid-sweet fruits beneath. Malt driven taste of nuts, caramel and earth joined by dried fruits. Slightly jam-like impression. A bite of malt bitterness to the ending. Medium bodied. Nice and tasty (London 28.09.2014).

Cask at the haymarket. Pours clear red brown, thick off-white had. Aromas of dried fruit and light spice. Taste is sweet and fruit cakey. Slightly sticky finish. Ok.
