Sampled at the brewpub. Dark, opaque brown, with a small, tan head that leaves a ring. The nose is sharp rye, milk chocolate, vanilla, sour cherries, dates, and cinnamon. Sweet and malty, with a touch of spice, and a sharp, surprising, tart bite toward the finish. Heavy body, syrupy, silky, and clean. Very unique and complex. The aroma is fantastic!
