Sample at ACAT. Black, with a thin, beige head. Nice, mild coffee up front, with a little cloves, coconut, and milk chocolate. Very sweet, with a touch of bitterness. Medium to heavy body, creamy, and a little sticky. Not bad, but could be a little better.

Cask at the brewpub. Pours a hazy deep amber brown with a muddy brown head that lasts throughout the beer. Aroma has a lot of brown sugar with backing notes of cinnamon, oats and a hint of roasted malts. Flavor has more oats up front with a hint of roast and the cinnamon and brown sugar coming out in the finish.
